Toyota Mechanicals, Hethel Character
The clever bit about most modern Lotus cars is that they use a Toyota 2GR-FE V6 (supercharged in some Evora and Emira variants) — the same engine as a Camry V6 or Lexus ES/RX. That means the battery specs are well-known Toyota DIN codes, no exotic fitment, no proprietary coding. Current-generation Eletre is different — it is a Geely-owned platform EV with a 12V aux AGM that wakes the entire vehicle.

Most Lotus owners in Dubai split time between the road and the Yas Marina or Dubai Autodrome. We have callouts every weekend for trackday prep — a pre-session load test and a fresh battery if the old one is marginal, delivered to your garage or the paddock on Friday night.
Eletre calls are a different beast — when the 12V aux dies, the car cannot be unlocked and the HV system stays asleep. We carry the Geely-recommended wake-up procedure and have swapped dozens since the first Eletres landed in Dubai in 2024.

Does my Evora / Exige / Emira need battery coding?
No. The petrol V6 Lotus cars (Evora, Exige V6, Emira V6) use standard lead-acid batteries with no coding requirement — they share Toyota 2GR-FE architecture, and replacement is as simple as a Camry V6. We just fit and verify.
My Eletre is completely locked — what do you do?
The Eletre's 12V auxiliary AGM wakes every module, including the door-lock system. When it fails the car is inaccessible. We attend with the Geely-recommended external 12V wake procedure, gain entry, replace the aux AGM, and perform the required module reset.
Can you service at the Dubai Autodrome or track garages?
Yes. We have callouts to the Autodrome paddock on trackdays and can do pre-session load tests, alternator checks and on-the-spot replacement if the old battery is marginal.
Exige is tight — can you access the battery without paint risk?
Yes. The Exige engine-bay battery is tight access but we bring wrapped tools, protective sheets and a battery lift strap. No paintwork is at risk.
Do you stock Emira i4 AGM?
Yes. The Emira i4 with the Mercedes-AMG M139 2.0 turbo uses an AGM H5 60Ah — same family as a CLA or A45 AMG. Varta and Bosch variants stocked.
