Yes. 4MOTION Tiguans use an electronically controlled clutch coupling at the rear axle with its own oil and, on many versions, a filter. When the oil is old, the coupling pump can fail and the car quietly reverts to front-wheel drive. We check the service history, inspect the coupling and replace the oil and filter as required, then test that all-wheel drive engages correctly. Front-wheel-drive Tiguans do not have this coupling, so we confirm which version you drive from the scan first.
