About Optima
Optima Batteries is an American brand, originally developed in the 1970s and now owned by Clarios. The company's signature product is the SpiralCell design — instead of flat plates stacked on top of each other, Optima wraps thin lead sheets and fibreglass separators into tight spirals, which are pressed into cylindrical cells. The spiral geometry makes the battery dramatically more vibration-tolerant, allows any-orientation mounting (even upside-down in specific cases) and handles deep-cycling without the plate shedding that eventually kills flat-plate AGM.
The range is divided by colour. RedTop is a pure starting battery, built for maximum cranking amps — ideal for modified Jeep Wranglers, classic muscle cars, and any engine with aggressive camshaft or high compression. YellowTop is dual-purpose: it cranks like a starting battery but also deep-cycles, making it the choice for audio installations, winch-equipped off-roaders and vehicles that idle for long periods. BlueTop is marine/RV spec with sealed terminals for dual-post compatibility.
Optima is not cheap. Expect to pay 2-3x the price of an equivalent Varta AGM. But in the right application — desert off-road, aggressive audio builds, track days, heavily modified 4x4s — nothing else lasts as long or handles the abuse.

Stamped warranty card. Old battery collected for UAE-licensed recycling. Pay card, cash, Tabby or Tamara.
Up to 18-Month Optima Warranty
Every Optima battery we fit comes with a manufacturer warranty up to 18 months covering defects and premature capacity loss. Given Optima's typical four-to-six-year lifespan in UAE use, warranty claims are rare. If one does occur, we handle it on-site — bring the card, we load-test, and swap if the battery is at fault.
Not covered: physical damage from accident, sustained over-discharge below 10.5V for multiple weeks, and mounting failures (Optima YellowTop can mount any orientation but BlueTop and RedTop have specific guidance we follow at fitting).

What is the difference between RedTop, YellowTop and BlueTop?
RedTop is a pure starting battery — maximum cranking power for performance engines. YellowTop is dual-purpose: strong starting plus deep-cycle for audio and off-road use. BlueTop is dual-purpose marine/RV with both cranking and deep-cycle credentials.
Is Optima worth the price over a regular AGM?
For modified Jeeps, high-output audio systems, heavy off-road use and performance cars with aggressive tune — yes. The SpiralCell design is vibration-resistant, can be mounted in almost any orientation, and handles hundreds of deep-cycle events.
Do you stock Optima in Dubai?
Yes. We hold RedTop 34, RedTop 34/78, YellowTop D34, D35 and D51R, plus BlueTop D31M. Less common sizes ordered on 48-hour lead time.
Does Optima need BMS coding?
Only when fitted to a car that already codes its battery (BMW, Mercedes, some Range Rover). For Jeep, Wrangler, classic muscle cars and audio builds, no coding is required.
How long does an Optima last?
In UAE heat, four to six years is typical — meaningfully longer than a flooded battery. The SpiralCell AGM handles deep cycling and vibration far better than traditional lead-acid, which is why it is popular for desert off-road vehicles.
