Because the radiator is at the front and the engine sits behind the cabin, coolant on mid-engined Lotus cars runs through long pipes along the underside. If the system is refilled without being bled properly, air pockets remain and the engine can overheat, sometimes within minutes in Dubai traffic. Leaking pipe joints and fans weakened by heat cause similar problems. We bleed the system using the correct procedure, pressure-test for leaks and check fan operation.

Yes. Early Elise and some Exige models use the Rover K-series engine, which is well known for head gasket failure. Signs include coolant loss with no visible leak, white smoke, mayonnaise-like residue under the oil cap and overheating. We confirm the diagnosis with pressure and combustion tests before stripping anything, then quote for the gasket and any related parts. If an uprated gasket is available for your engine, we explain the options and leave the choice to you. Ignoring the early signs risks warping the cylinder head, which turns a gasket job into a much bigger repair.

We can. Clutch wear is one of the most common Lotus repairs in Dubai, because traffic means frequent pulling away from a standstill. Symptoms include slipping under acceleration, judder when moving off and a bite point that moves higher. On manual cars we inspect the clutch, flywheel and release bearing together. Our gearbox and transmission team handles the removal and refit, and you get an itemised quote before any parts are ordered.

Not in the manufacturer sense: we are an independent garage working on many makes, and Lotus cars are a regular part of that mix. Owners choose us for annual servicing, cooling and clutch repairs, alignment and diagnostics, particularly once the car is out of warranty. We use genuine or OE-spec parts and always tell you which. We handle the parts of an Eletre that do not involve the high-voltage battery: the 12V battery, brakes, tyres, alignment, suspension, AC and bodywork, plus full diagnostic scans. Being a large, heavy electric SUV, the Eletre wears tyres and brakes in its own way, and we check both at every visit. High-voltage battery internals are not something we repair, and we will tell you plainly if a fault falls into that category.

A low-slung Lotus travels to us on our own collection run, free of charge, from anywhere in Dubai. Exiges and Elises are very low and have a front splitter that catches on ramps, so please mention steep basement exits, speed humps or gravel driveways when booking and we will plan the route. Our driver records the car's condition at pickup. If the car cannot be driven, for example after overheating, recovery to our workshop can be arranged. Once the work is approved and complete, the car comes back to you the same careful way.

We accept cash, debit and credit cards, as well as Tabby and Tamara, which split your Lotus bill into four interest-free payments. That helps with larger jobs such as a clutch replacement, head gasket repair or a full cooling system refresh.
