The diagnostic is AED 150. That covers a full ISTA scan of the engine, gearbox, chassis and body modules, plus a check of the stored service counters. We then explain each fault code in plain language and send an itemised quote for anything that needs repair. Nothing beyond the scan is carried out until you have read and approved that quote. If your BMW also needs work we find during the scan, the quote lists parts and labour separately so you can decide which items to do now and which can wait for a later visit.

Yes. We follow the Condition Based Service items your BMW reports, use oils with the correct BMW Longlife approval for your engine, and reset each CBS counter after the work so the car keeps tracking its own maintenance. Your digital service record held by BMW is not updated by an independent workshop, so we give you a dated, itemised invoice for your records instead. Many owners use us once the manufacturer warranty has ended, when the cost difference becomes most noticeable.

On most four- and six-cylinder BMWs the culprits are the valve cover gasket and the oil filter housing gasket, both of which harden in Dubai heat. Oil from the filter housing can drip onto the serpentine belt, which is why we inspect the belt whenever we see that leak. On V8 models the turbo oil feed lines and valve stem seals are common sources. We clean the engine, trace the leak to its origin and quote only for the gasket or line that is actually failing.

We diagnose and repair BMW transmissions, including the ZF eight-speed automatic used across most current models and the dual-clutch units in older M cars. Many shifting complaints are solved by replacing the leaking sump and filter, refilling to the correct level at operating temperature and resetting adaptations. Where internal faults are confirmed, we explain the options, including mechatronic repair, before you commit. We never quote a gearbox rebuild without first ruling out fluid and software causes.

We carry out the coding that a repair requires, such as registering a new battery, initialising replaced headlights, adapting a new gearbox sump or setting up a replacement module. These steps are done with ISTA as part of the job. For feature changes and retrofits, tell us exactly what you want and which model and year you drive, and we will confirm whether it can be done on your car before booking it in.

An X5 that drops at the rear overnight almost always has a leaking rear air spring, and less often a leaking valve block or line. If the compressor has been working overtime to compensate, it may also be worn. We pressure-test each air spring, check the compressor run time and read the suspension module for stored faults. Replacing a split air spring early usually saves the compressor, which is the more expensive part to replace.

We accept cash and all major cards. For larger BMW repairs such as gearbox, air suspension or cooling system work, you can also pay through Tabby or Tamara and split the bill into four interest-free instalments. The full amount is agreed in your itemised quote before the work begins, so the instalments are based on a figure you have already approved, with no extra items added afterwards without your sign-off.
