A full Toyota scan costs AED 100. It covers the engine, automatic or CVT gearbox, ABS and stability control, airbag, body and, on hybrids such as the Camry and RAV4 hybrid, the hybrid system modules. You receive a written list of stored and pending codes with our interpretation of each, plus photos if we spot a physical problem during the inspection. There is no obligation to go ahead with any repair afterwards; plenty of owners use the report simply to understand a warning light before a long drive.

No. Car Battery Squad is an independent multi-brand workshop in Al Quoz, not part of the Toyota dealer network. We carry out scheduled Toyota maintenance to the factory schedule using genuine or OE-spec parts, and every invoice lists the mileage, parts and fluids used so your history stays complete. If your Toyota is still covered by a manufacturer warranty, read the warranty terms first, since some owners prefer to keep in-warranty repairs with the dealer and bring the car to us once that period ends.

Often, yes. Many Land Cruiser, Prado and Camry shift complaints come down to old fluid, an incorrect fluid level, a sticking solenoid or adaptation values that need resetting. Those are fixed with a correct fill procedure, a solenoid or valve-body repair, or a software relearn. We only recommend an overhaul or exchange gearbox when internal damage is confirmed through pressure readings, metal in the pan or slip data, and we explain that evidence before you decide.

The usual culprit is sand packed inside the alloy wheels, which throws the balance out and causes a shimmy at around 100–120 km/h. Tyres left at low desert pressures, a bent rim from a dune crossing or a disturbed alignment can add to it. We clean the wheels, rebalance, check pressures and run a four-wheel alignment. If vibration persists, we look further at front suspension joints and propshaft condition, both of which take a beating off-road.

Yes. We fit tyres in the correct size and load rating for your Toyota, which matters on a heavy Land Cruiser or a loaded Hilux, then balance each wheel and reset the TPMS where fitted. Alignment is done on all four wheels with a printout showing the angles before and after. Since we inspect tie-rods, ball joints and bushes first, you will not pay for an alignment that a worn steering part would undo within weeks.

Pull over safely and switch off before the gauge reaches the red, and do not open a hot radiator cap. On Camry V6 engines, a seeping water pump, a failing cooling fan or a blocked radiator are the usual causes in Dubai summers. We pressure-test the cooling system, check fan operation and look for coolant in the oil before quoting, and our radiator repair team handles the fix if that is where the fault lies.

Yes. We test the battery and charging system first, because a slow-cranking Prado can also point to a weak alternator or a parasitic drain. Hybrid Camry and RAV4 models also carry a 12V auxiliary battery that must be healthy for the car to start its hybrid system.
