Who makes Amaron batteries?

Amaron is manufactured by Amara Raja Batteries, an Indian company headquartered in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and part of the broader Amara Raja Group. It has been producing automotive batteries since the 1990s under a long-running joint-venture relationship with Johnson Controls, which supplied much of the original calcium-calcium grid technology that Amaron still uses today. The brand is an OE supplier to Ford, Hyundai, Mahindra, Nissan and Maruti Suzuki across South Asia, and its Hi-Life range has become one of the UAE's highest-volume aftermarket batteries.

Volume honesty: we go through about 40 Amarons a week in Dubai. The Corolla-size DIN55 (Hi-Life Pro 55B24L) is our single highest-volume SKU — stocked on every van, every day.

In Dubai, Amaron has a loyal following among Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai and Kia owners who want a branded battery at a sensible price. The Hi-Life Pro is the mid-range zero-maintenance model you will find in most GCC-spec sedans and SUVs, while Hi-Way is the commercial line used by taxis and light-fleet operators. Amaron does not currently sell AGM for luxury European cars in the UAE, so we pair it with Varta, Bosch or ACDelco AGM where BMS-coded batteries are needed.

The calcium-calcium grid and the sealed, spill-proof case are the two features that matter most for Dubai: they dramatically reduce water loss at 45C+ under-bonnet temperatures and keep internal resistance stable through a typical three- to four-year service life here. If your car came with an Amaron from the factory, putting another Amaron in is usually the cheapest way to get back to OE performance.

Up to 18-Month Amaron Warranty

Every Amaron Hi-Life Pro we fit comes with a replacement warranty up to 18 months covering manufacturing defects, internal short circuits and premature capacity loss. The warranty is honoured by us directly — no paperwork with the distributor, no waiting. If the battery fails load testing within the warranty window and the failure is not caused by a bad alternator or parasitic drain, we swap it on-site at no cost.

What is not covered: physical damage, deep discharge from leaving lights on, installation in an unsuitable vehicle, or failures caused by a faulty charging system (alternator overcharging or undercharging). When we fit the battery we test your alternator at the same time, so we catch charging-system issues before they damage the new battery.
