BCI Sizes and Where AGM Is Required
Chevrolet uses standard GM BCI sizing — Group 48 on most SUVs, Group 94R or H7 on larger trucks, Group 34 AGM on Corvette, Group 65 on high-trim Silverado. Coding is only required on 2018+ models with intelligent charging. We match the battery to the exact trim and calendar year.

Corvette C8 Specifics
The mid-engined C8 Stingray and Z06 carry the battery behind the driver-side rear trim on the way to the mid-mounted engine. Access takes extra time versus a C7 front-mounted battery. The OEM battery is Group 34 AGM at around 760 CCA.
If the car has sat during the summer, we also recommend a CTEK charger test before fitting new — sometimes the issue is simple sulfation rather than battery end-of-life.

Which battery does my Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban take?
2015-onwards Tahoe and Suburban models use BCI Group 48 (H6) with around 730-800 CCA. High-trim LTZ and Premier models with rear-seat entertainment and high accessory loads benefit from upgrading to AGM. We confirm against VIN and trim before quoting.
Can you replace a Corvette battery at my villa in Arabian Ranches?
Yes. C7 and C8 Corvettes take a Group 34 AGM with high CCA — the battery lives behind the driver-side rear trim panel on C8. We bring the correct AGM, torque tools, trim-removal kit and memory saver.
Does Camaro SS need a high-CCA battery?
Yes. Camaro SS 6.2L and ZL1 need Group 94R / H7 AGM around 800+ CCA because the LS3 and LT4 engines crank hard in hot weather.
I have a 2012 Cruze — is it worth fitting AGM or is flooded fine?
Cruze without start-stop runs perfectly on a standard flooded Group 48 or DIN56 battery at starting from AED 315 installed. There is no mechanical benefit to AGM on that car.

For 2018-onwards GM-platform Chevrolets with AGM and intelligent charging we run GDS2-compatible diagnostic to reset the BCM battery learning cycle.
