Hyundai — Solite at the Factory
Solite (made by Sebang Global Battery, a Hyundai-Kia sister company) is the original-equipment battery on virtually every Hyundai delivered to the GCC. Fitting the same brand on replacement keeps the electrical characteristics identical to factory — a minor detail but one that avoids false alternator codes on sensitive models like the Sonata and Tucson.
The petrol lineup — Accent, Elantra, Creta, Kona, Sonata, Santa Fe, Palisade — generally uses European DIN sizes: DIN55 on the compact Accent and Elantra, DIN60 on Sonata, DIN65/66 on Tucson petrol, DIN75/80 on Santa Fe and Palisade. None of these require BMS coding — the charge system self-learns. From 2020, Hyundai began rolling out ISG (Idle Stop & Go) on Tucson, Sonata and Santa Fe trims, which requires EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) rather than standard flooded; fit the wrong one and the system self-disables.
Ioniq (hybrid, PHEV and EV) and Genesis G70/G80/G90 are the two exceptions that need AGM. Ioniq uses a small 12V auxiliary AGM (35-45Ah) which fails every 4-5 years in UAE conditions — a known pain point. Genesis models run AGM H6 or H7 due to heavier electronics and start-stop. Yes. Solite is produced by Sebang Global Battery, a Hyundai-Kia sister company, and is factory-fit on most Hyundai vehicles delivered to the GCC.
Does my Hyundai Tucson need a special battery for start-stop?
Tucson (NX4) 2022-onwards with start-stop requires an EFB cell — typically DIN65 EFB. Fitting a standard flooded battery will disable the ISG (Idle Stop & Go) system within a few weeks. We stock EFB from Solite, Varta and Bosch.
How much is a Hyundai Sonata battery installed?
A Sonata replacement battery installed at your Dubai location in 2026 costs starting from AED 385 depending on brand. Sonata uses DIN60 or DIN66 (60-70Ah, 550-600 CCA). Price includes delivery, fitment, memory saver and warranty up to 18 months.
Why does the Ioniq have two batteries?
The Ioniq Hybrid and EV carry both a traction pack (high-voltage, never user-replaceable) and a small 12V auxiliary AGM that boots the electronics.
Do you fit Genesis batteries too — same service?
Yes. Genesis G70, G80 and G90 share Hyundai's architecture but use higher-spec AGM cells due to heavy electronics loads.
