That means AGM batteries and Mercedes STAR Diagnostic registration — identical procedure to an AMG GT or an S-Class. Our technician brings a genuine STAR kit on every Aston call. Older VH-platform cars (DB9, Vantage V8 pre-2018, Rapide) do not require coding but still benefit from AGM for longer life in UAE heat.

We arrive at a villa or hotel valet at an agreed time, complete the battery change and coding, and WhatsApp the owner photos of the old battery serial, the new battery label and the signed warranty card before leaving.

Does my Aston Martin need battery coding?
Yes on current Mercedes-AMG sourced platforms. DB11, DBS, current Vantage V8 and DBX all use Mercedes M177/M178 drivetrains and need STAR Diagnostic (or XENTRY) battery registration after fitment. Our technician runs the full coding sequence on-site at no extra cost.
Where is the battery on a DB11 or DBS?
DB11 and DBS carry the battery behind the rear seats under a leather-trimmed access panel. Removal requires careful trim work — we use soft-touch tools and a battery lift strap.
Can you service an Aston Martin at a hotel valet?
Yes. We attend hotels across Dubai — Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, Address Downtown, One&Only — and work discreetly in a reserved valet bay with the concierge's approval.
DBX uses a different battery?
DBX shares the Mercedes-AMG 4.0 V8 and an AGM H8 95-105Ah battery arrangement. It is mounted under the boot floor on DBX — same procedure as a GLS or Bentayga, and the coding is done via STAR Diagnostic.
My DBS has not been driven for weeks — jump start or replace?
Aston Martins are particularly vulnerable to parasitic drain — body control modules, keyless entry, alarm and infotainment continue drawing. If the load test after a conditioning cycle still fails, we fit a fresh Varta AGM.
