Most cars that will not start in Dubai have a flat or worn-out battery, and a jump start fixes that on the spot. But a clicking starter, a failed alternator or a fuel problem looks similar from the driver's seat. Match what you hear and see to the likely cause before you call.
3 Quick Checks Before You Call
- 1.Is the gear lever fully in P (or the clutch pressed on a manual)? Cars will not crank in gear.
- 2.Does the key fob work? A weak fob battery can stop push-button cars recognising the key. Hold the fob against the start button and try again.
- 3.Turn off the AC, lights and radio, wait a minute, then try once more. Repeated cranking drains what is left.
Can a Dead Battery Be Recharged or Repaired?
A healthy battery that went flat because of lights left on or a car parked for weeks can be jump-started and recharged, and it will keep working. We load-test it on site to confirm.
Modern sealed car batteries cannot be repaired once the plates are sulphated or a cell has failed, which happens far sooner in Dubai heat. If the test shows that, a car battery replacement on the spot is the only lasting fix.

Should I get a battery jump start or full battery replacement?
A jump start is the fastest and cheapest option if your battery is healthy but discharged (e.g. left lights on overnight). If your battery is over 2–3 years old, fails our free on-site load test, or has been jump-started multiple times in recent weeks, replacement is the smarter long-term fix. We carry genuine battery replacement options on the spot from AED 280.
Can you jump start diesel, hybrid and EV vehicles?

Why is my car not starting and only clicking?
A rapid clicking when you turn the key or press start almost always means the battery does not have enough power to turn the starter motor, usually because it is flat or worn out. A jump start gets the car going, and we then load-test the battery to see whether it can be recharged or needs replacing. A single loud click with bright dashboard lights points to the starter motor instead, which a jump start will not fix.
Can a dead car battery be recharged or repaired?
If the battery is healthy but went flat, for example after lights were left on or the car sat unused for a few weeks, it can be jump-started and recharged and will keep working. Sealed car batteries cannot be repaired once the internal plates are sulphated or a cell fails, which happens sooner in Dubai heat. Our technician tests the battery on site and only recommends a replacement if it fails the test.
